Interesting find

During the restoration work in the old harbor of Kyrenia, railway tracks were discovered, reports Yeniduzen.
According to Kibris Genc TV, railroad tracks were laid in 1897 to transport stones used in the construction of the port and to rebuild the Kafer Agha Mosque, which was originally built in the 1580s.
Kyrenia Mayor Murat Şenkul said the old railway tracks would be of additional interest to visitors and the intention was to make them partially visible by building a glass floor.
Murat Shenkul also noted that "In the near future, the old harbor of Kyrenia will become a place for more and more people to visit."
