Northern Cyprus at the ITB Berlin Fair.

Northern Cyprus tourism is being promoted at ITB Berlin, one of the world's leading tourism fairs.
Deputy Prime Minister Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoglu visited the Berlin ITB Fair, which takes place on March 7-9 for the first time since the Covid pandemic. Tourism from 180 countries is represented at the fair.
In a statement he made during his visit to Germany, Ataoglu said that they are promoting Northern Cyprus not only because of its natural beauties, but also because of its historical and cultural heritage, and that they are doing a more active advertising campaign with Ministry of Culture and Tourism this year.
Expressing that Germany occupies an important place in the tourism of Northern Cyprus and the German market is in first place in terms of the number of tourists coming to the island, after Turkey.
Ataoglu said that interest in the real estate sector of Northern Cyprus from Germany is growing day by day.
Expressing that the ITB Berlin Tourism Fair is the most important exhibition where Northern Cyprus tourism products can be promoted, Ataoglu noted that in this context they will negotiate with new tour operators from Germany in order to attract more tourists to the country.
