Ground crossing rules between South and Northern Cyprus from July 1, 2020.



The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Kudret Ozersay, declared that the crossing points between Southern and Northern Cyprus will be open from July 1, 2020. The opening hours of the crossing points are from 8:00 to 20:00.
At these boarders will work the same rules of entry to Northern Cyprus as well as at Ercan Airport and sea points of entry to the territory of TRNC.
Category A (low risk):
Austria, Germany, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, South Korea, South Cyprus, Croatia, Switzerland, Iceland, Karabakh, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta, Norway, Slovakia, Slovenia, Greece.
All arrivals from Group A countries can use all open land border crossings if they present a negative PCR test which was made before 72 hours prior to arrival at the TRNC.
Category B (medium risk countries):
Australia, Belgium, United Arab Emirates, Denmark, France, Netherlands, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Spain, Japan, Canada, Lebanon, Maldives, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Singapore, Turkey, Jordan.
Passengers from Group B countries must use the Metehan checkpoint, where they will pass the second test, they must also present a negative PCR test which was made before 72 hours prior to arrival at the TRNC)
Category C (High Risk Countries):
USA, Brazil, India, England, Italy, Sweden, Iran, Mexico, Pakistan, Russia, all other countries.
Passengers from Group C countries should use the Metehan checkpoint, from where they will be sent to special centers where they will be in 14-days quarantine (PRICE OF 14-days quarantine is 4400TL) (Passengers from Group C countries must also present a negative PCR test which was made before 72 hours prior to arrival at the TRNC).
