14 academics from the Eastern Mediterranean University have been named among the world's most influential scientists.

As a result of a study conducted by a team of American and Dutch scientists in coordination with Stanford University, 14 faculty members of the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) managed to be among the most cited scientists in the list of "The Most Influential Scientists in the World." This list was compiled with the support of Elsevier B.V., one of the leading academic publishing companies. The list included 210,198 scientists.

The number of scientists from universities in the Republic of Turkey on the list increased compared to last year and amounted to a total of 1,403 people.
