The Middle East University of Northern Cyprus shared the title of "third best university" among Turkish universities.

Middle East University was ranked third among the best universities in Turkey in The Times Higher Education "World University Rankings 2024", where it was recognized as the best university in the TRNC. The Times Higher Education (THE), the world's most influential higher education ranking organization based in London, has announced the highly anticipated World University Rankings 2024.

Middle East University, the most preferred university of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, has been recognized as the best university in the TRNC, ranking in the range of 601-800 in the list of the best universities in the world. In this ranking published by The Times Higher Education, Middle East University shared the title of "third best university" among Turkish universities. Middle East University entered the 601-800 range along with Turkey's Bilkent, Bogazici, Cankaya and Hacettepe universities. Istanbul Technical University ranked in the 501-600 range, while Koç, Sabanci and Middle East Technical University ranked in the 351-450 range.
