Every year in the TRNC, as in many other countries, on the second Sunday of May, the cleanest and brightest holiday is celebrated - Mother's Day.

Mothers symbolize life, eternity, holiness and love.

This holiday is exclusively family. Children, regardless of age, gather in their parents' house to congratulate their mothers with flowers and gifts, as well as surround them with special attention and warmth.

The origins of this holiday originated in the distant 1907 in the United States of America, and for more than 100 years it has been celebrated in 23 countries.
