A young Turkish Cypriot will take part in the III International Competition-Festival of Variety Music in Kyrgyzstan.

The young musical performer Begum Tekakpynar represents the TRNC in Kyrgyzstan under the coordination of the Department of Culture under the Office of the Vice Prime Minister, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment.

Begyum Tekakpynar, who will be accompanied on her violin by music teacher Kurshat Tilki, will take part in the "III International Competition-Festival of Variety Music named after Maykin Asva Issyk-Kul", organized jointly with the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth of the Kyrgyz Republic and TÜRKSOY.

Director of the Department of Culture Shirin Zaimagaoglu said that Begum Tekakpynar will perform his songs "Derya Deniz Between Us" and "You Are Above" at the competition of the pop music festival, which will be held in Cholpon-Ata (Kyrgyzstan) from August 17 to 22.
