The Museum of Turkish Cypriot History has been inaugurated in Northern Cyprus

The Museum of History, Culture, and National Struggle of the Turkish Cypriots has recently opened in Lefkoşa.

This museum exhibits a range of items including military and civilian documents, weapons, paintings, garments, and historical photographs that chronicle the ongoing Turkish Cypriot national struggle since 1878. The garden of the museum is adorned with statues of 51 historical personalities who have made significant contributions to the Cypriot cause, most notably the esteemed leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

Additionally, the museum's garden showcases armored vehicles and cannons utilized by the Turkish Resistance Organization (TMT) during the conflict with Greek Cypriots from 1963 to 1974.

The museum aims to preserve and convey the heritage of the Turkish Cypriots to future generations through numerous artifacts, including a fishing boat that was instrumental in smuggling weapons from Turkey to Cyprus, as well as the training and pilot badges of the fallen hero Captain Cengiz Topel, and remnants of his aircraft that was downed in 1963.
