A center for the treatment and rehabilitation of sea turtles will be created in Northern Cyprus.

With the cooperation of the municipality of Lapta-Alsancak-Chamlybel, together with the Tashkent Nature Park, as part of measures to preserve the population of sea turtles on the coast of Guzelyali Beach, which is one of the most important habitats and nesting places for sea turtles in the TRNC, a Center for the treatment and rehabilitation of sea turtles will be established, and also marine life.

This Center is designed to inform the public about environmental protection, in particular, to raise awareness of the younger generation, as well as to develop the tourism sector in the region.
