New airline in TRNC.

According to the Minister of Public Works and Transport Erhan Arıklı, a new domestic airline will start on March 10 and will make its first flight on April 16.

It was said that the Cabinet of Ministers decided to authorize the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Finance to open a local airline in the TRNC, which will make a significant contribution to the country's economy, in particular in the field of tourism and education, thereby reducing the cost of air tickets.

Minister of Public Works and Transport Erhan Arikli noted that the new airlines will be called "Mavi Girne Havayolları" (Blue Kyrenia Airlines).

He added that initially the airline will have 5 aircraft available, but in the future it is planned to increase their number. He said that the first flight will be sent to Trabzon.
