The TRNC and Turkey have signed their largest-ever economic cooperation agreement

In Ankara, the most substantial Economic and Financial Cooperation Agreement for 2024 between the TRNC and Turkey was finalized. The accord includes a grant of 16 billion Turkish liras.

The Prime Minister of the TRNC, Unal Ustel, and the Vice President of the Republic of Turkey, Cevdet Yılmaz, signed the document.

After the signing, Cevdet Yılmaz highlighted that a primary objective of the agreement is to minimize bureaucracy in the TRNC.

"Sending greetings and love to our kin in every part of the TRNC, I express my sincere gratitude to all who contributed to this agreement's formation. We are committed to ensuring a robust future for the TRNC," stated the Vice President of Turkey.

At a press conference following the ceremony at the Presidential Complex of the Republic of Turkey, the TRNC's Prime Minister Unal Ustel, on behalf of the Turkish Cypriots, expressed gratitude to Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, as well as to all involved in the agreement's development.

Prime Minister Ustel reiterated that this landmark agreement, which includes a grant nearing 16 billion Turkish liras, stands as the most significant protocol to date.
