Premiere of the play "A Beautiful Day in the Park".

Nicosia Municipal Theater opens 2023-2024 season comedy play A Beautiful Day in the Park. The play, written by Kiran Linn and staged by Kiymet Karabiber, stars Melihat Melis Gunalp, Aizel Seilani and Aytunç Shabanli.

In the play, Olivia and Arthur, who want to spend a pleasant day in the park, find themselves separated by a new border of the country, outlined by a ribbon. Sandwiched between two countries under the stern gaze of a newly hired border guard, the couple become hostages to this absurd situation that is slowly becoming intractable. A Beautiful Day in the Park is a bittersweet comedy about the imaginary boundaries that separate us and the harsh penalties for breaking them.
