Fifth International Symposium on Terracotta Vounous.

The Fifth International Vounous Terracotta Symposium, organized annually by the Municipality of Çatalköy-Esentepe, will take place from September 1st to 16th.

This year, 70 academics, artists and participants from Northern Cyprus, Turkey, USA, Italy, Ireland, Latvia, Germany, France, Iran and Russia will create ceramic, bronze and glass works for Vounous, according to a statement from the municipality.

Products will be made in a primitive technique, the creation of which can be seen by visiting the symposium free of charge from 17.00 to 22.00.

Everyone is invited on Saturday, September 9, at 18.00 to the grand opening ceremony in Vounous.

The 5th Vounous International Terracotta Symposium will present scientific papers and ceramics, which are important in the Mediterranean world, will be fired in wood-burning kilns as in ancient times.
