The Tourist Festival in Kyrenia Old Harbor

The Tourist Festival in Kyrenia Old Harbor will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, as part of Tourism Week. Organized in collaboration with the Deputy Prime Minister, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment of Northern Cyprus, and the Municipality of Kyrenia, the festival will feature a variety of events starting at 10:30 AM in front of the old Kyrenia Municipality building.

The official opening ceremony will take place at 12:15 PM at the Ancient Port of Kyrenia, followed by performances from various groups, including the Otantik Group, Vadili Folk Dance Ensemble, Ahmet Sed, State Theatre, Akdogan Folk Dance Ensemble, Ulash Barış, TUFAD Folk Dance Ensemble, Degirmenlik Municipality Folk Dance Ensemble, Serdar Quintet, Karşıyak Culture and Art Association Folklore Group, the Rast group, Alaykoy folk dance ensemble, Berkay, Ezgi, and Fikri Karael. In the evening, there will be a traditional Cypriot clothing show and a jazz concert.

The festival will also feature food, drink, and shopping stalls, free tours of Kyrenia Ancient Port and Kyrenia Castle, an exhibition, and a cello concert. This will be the first major event held in the ancient port of Kyrenia after the completion of restoration work.
