In Famagusta, the beaches were equipped.

According to information provided by the Municipality of Famagusta, cleanup and landscaping work has been carried out at Glapsides, Palm Beach, Derinya Public Beach and two swimming areas in closed Varosha.

In order to better serve the community, the beaches were cleaned with a sand sifting and scrubbing machine, and waste such as dangerous branches, glass shards and cigarette butts on the beach was removed, and the sand was leveled. In addition, lifeguards will work on all beaches.

Since free access to the sea is a constitutional right, the municipality does not charge the public for swimming on the beaches. Those who do not use sun loungers and umbrellas have the right to use the sea for free.
