The second phase of the covered market area improvement project has started in Iskele, Northern Cyprus

This phase follows the initial development supported by the Economic Development and Cooperation Office of the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia.

The İskele Municipality, which is self-funding this phase, has completed the tender process for the project that spans 15,500 square meters.

Destebaşı Construction Ltd. emerged as the winner of the tender. The construction, overseen by project manager Deriya Dinçkuyucu, is expected to be completed within 180 working days.

The first phase saw the completion of the metal structures for the Market Square and Fishermen's Hut, upgrades to the toilet facilities, and the drainage system. Additionally, architectural enhancements, roofing, facade work, electrical installations, and landscaping were accomplished.
