Exhibition of Sema Ozdemir Akbel in the building of the new Ercan Airport.

The exhibition featured e-waste, plastic, scrap and many other wastes that were brought to life thanks to the artistic vision of Sema Özdemir Akbel and were turned into art objects through their creative use.

The exhibition was presented to art connoisseurs who will use the airport in the post-passport hall of the new Ercan Airport.

Sema Özdemir Akbel says: "When I look at any thing that was left idle or was thrown away as unnecessary, I leave a piece of my own soul there, because I give it a new life."

Sema Akbel presented her first solo exhibition titled "Extraordinary" in Nicosia followed by a group exhibition titled "First Breath" in Istanbul. Sema Akbel also became famous for her work at the 2nd Organized Industrial Zone of the Ankara Chamber of Industry, where she took factory waste and turned it into works of art.

These works attracted the attention of national and international participants of the climate summit in March 2022 called “Industrial Recycling Exhibition”.
